What "archived" means here

Issues are frozen

An issue closes on its publication date. Its charts are rebuilt from the CSVs stored beside it, so the figures you see today are the figures it published.

Revisions do not rewrite history

When an official series is revised, the published issue keeps its numbers. The revision becomes a dated note on that issue, and a story in a later one.

URLs are permanent

An issue owns a dated path — /issues/2026-08/ — and everything under it. Nothing a later issue publishes can collide with an earlier one.

Corrections are public

Every correction is listed on the corrections page and on the piece itself, with the previous figure left legible.
